Welcome to the website of the
Mount Barker Church of Christ.
We are a community on a journey together, sharing life, seeking to be good followers of Jesus in our local context. We value the gift of community, the revelation of the Bible and hopefully are able to share this with others. We desire to see each person connect with God in their own way, and to be empowered, through the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to reach their God-given potential.
There are exciting times ahead for this community as we seek to be a positive presence in our community through various projects; all with an underlying ethos of loving neighbour, doing justice, seeking mercy and walking humbly (Micah 6:8).
We as a Church community are affiliated with the Conference of Churches of Christ in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Our Sunday worship starts at 10am, Children's "TimeOut" (Sunday School) is on the first and third Sundays of the month, the fourth Sunday of each month is Youth focussed. On the second and fourth Saturday morning of each month is an open prayer breakfast - and other activities are listed on our calendar - click on "What's On" to your right. Our church office is generally open from 9-30am to 4pm weekdays. All the information you need about us before you visit, can be found in our website - happy exploring - Grace and Peace!!

The Welly Road Op Shop is open Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 2pm. We provide quality pre-loved clothing as you have seen at our quarterly Mad Hatter's Markets. Form a new habit - make browsing the Welly Road Op Shop a regular part of your routine!
The Op Shop is staffed entirely by volunteers with a passion to serve the community of Mount Barker with a high quality source of inexpensive clothing, with a friendly welcome, and with a smile. When you walk into the Welly Road Op Shop, you find more than just clothing - you find community.
Resources raised by the Op Shop are used to support a range of Community initiatives. To date, we have supported overseas welfare programs, bushfire relief appeals, and contributed to setup costs for the CAMEO Cafe. None of our volunteer group, the management committee, or members of the sponsoring Church receive any personal benefit from the Op Shop. Everything is plowed back into the community we seek to serve.
The Welly Road Op Shop also runs concurrently with the Mad Hatter's Markets on the first Saturday of each new Season. In addition to great second hand clothing, you will also find a range of garage sale type items - furniture, books, toys, plants, home made/grown produce, and the ubiquitous sausage sizzle!
We look forward to welcoming you soon! |
